Michigan Adoption Day is celebrated in November of each year. Participating courts finalize adoptions, hold parties for adoptive families, and educate the public about the adoption process. Michigan Adoption Day is co-sponsored by the Michigan Supreme Court, Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, Michigan Adoption Resource Exchange, and the Child Welfare Services Division of the State Court Administrative Office.
There will be many adoptions finalized throughout the state during the month of November. Helping create forever families for our waiting youth is something worth celebrating! Come back to see a list of Adoption Day celebrations in a county near you. This is a great opportunity to celebrate the successes of many growing adoptive families and learn more about how to become involved with foster care and adoption.
If you have an event you would like highlighed during Michigan's adoption month, please send appropriate information to MARE at mare@judsoncenter.org.
